Godsmack Albuquerque Concert reviews
Solid Performance, but too much new material.
An excellent performance was given by Maiden at this show, and the mindbending stage show that accompanied it, with the lights and everything. They played classics like Number of the Beast, the Trooper, Hallowed Be Thy Name, 2 Minutes To Midnight, and a few others that I really enjoyed. Dickinson sounded very good, and the guitar work of Adrian Smith, Dave Murray, and Janick Gers was very clean and precise. The thundering bass lines of Steve Harris were ferocious, as always. Personally, I would have rather had a more even mix of newer and older material. They spent too much time covering Final Frontier, which I don't really care for all that much. Of course, this is the Final Frontier tour, but I didn't find it to be a completely satisfying balance of new and old. The band played with great energy. Nicko was as fantastic as always. A good concert that I am glad I went to, although I did prefer Somewhere Back In Time tour '09 a bit better than this one. Up the Godsmack!!
